Frequently Asked Questions.

The most common questions we get include:

  • We are currently open by appointment only.

  • There is no fee for initial designs for which measurements are provided. Site visits to obtain measurements require a small fee.

  • We start by sending an initial survey to our clients via email which helps us to evaluate our clients wants, needs, and expectations. If measurements are obtained via plans or client provided measurements- we can do an initial design and pricing based off of those measurements. Turn-around time on initial designs/pricing from measurements are typically a few days to a week. It’s at that point we set up an appointment with you to come into our showroom to see the cabinetry lines we have to offer and over our computer generated plans for your space.

  • We do provide installation services for new-builds and kitchen renovations. Currently we take on a small amount of renovations per year so that we can still offer the same level of service to all projects we are involved in. We also work closely with a number of contractors who do straight renovations- many of which still have us install the kitchen on their behalf after all site work has been completed. While we design and sell bathroom vanities only in homes in which we are currently involved in providing kitchen cabinetry for and we no longer offer complete bathroom renovations as a service.

  • Yes! We love working with outside contractors. We also have a list of a number of reputable contractors in the area we work with.

  • While lead times are not guaranteed, our in-stock builder’s line cabinetry currently has a 1-2 lead time. Our other lines typically have anywhere from a 4-12 week lead time depending upon brand. Countertops are templated by our fabricators once cabinets have been installed. Typical lead times from template to installation are 7-10 business days.

  • While the bread and butter of our business is kitchens, we do design and sell cabinetry for mudrooms, fireplaces, offices, entertainment centers, laundry rooms and more.

  • We like our clients to be prepared as much as possible for the questions we’ll be inquiring about during the design process. This includes measurements in terms of walls and ceiling height, appliance selections (initial sizes such as a 30” stove or 36” is sufficient enough for an initial design), sink choices (whether you’d like a drop-in sink, undermount, or apron), and your wishlist for your kitchen in terms of island seating, pantry cabinets, glass cabinets, garbage needs, etc. We welcome any inspiration pictures you may have saved from the internet or magazines, as this helps greatly for us to understand your vision for the space.

  • Recommendations in terms of cabinet colors, finishes, function and countertop selection are included within each design appointment and the cost of your kitchen. We do offer design services outside of this should our clients want help with paint colors, light fixtures, backsplashes, counter stools, etc, with our in-house designer. Her work is billed at an hourly rate. Please inquire within.

  • Since we are often in and out of the showroom due to work in the field, the best way to initially reach us is via email: barb@brattesanidesigns.com .

  • The design process back and forth normally takes a few weeks. Meeting with contractors, getting estimates for your project can also take a few weeks. Your cabinetry lead time depends on the brand that you purchase. Our cabinet lead times currently range anywhere from 1- 9 week, depending upon the brand. We reach out a few weeks prior to let our clients know when their kitchen is expected, and a week prior to schedule delivery. Once base cabinets are installed- we can order a template for countertops from our suppliers. Getting on the fabrication template schedule can take up to a week. Template to installation of countertop turn around is anywhere from 7-10 business days.

  • We accept payments via cash, check, and debit card via quickbooks. Should a client wish to use a credit card there is an additional fee incurred on the total amount due.

  • In order to place a cabinet order, contracts must be signed and the total amount of cabinetry is due at the time of order. The remaining balance of countertops and hardware is due when delivery is scheduled.

  • We design and sell cabinetry, countertops, hardware, under cabinet lighting, tile and LVT vinyl flooring (standard undercount kitchen sinks can be purchased through our countertop supplier.) We do not sell appliances, kitchen sinks, stools, and island lighting. However, for a design fee our designers can be hired to help fine tune the finishing touches of your kitchen design in terms of the items that we do not sell.

  • This is largely dependent on many factors. Our average size kitchen with 8’ ceilings range anywhere from $20- 30K in cabinets and $6-8k in quartz countertops deck only. The higher your ceilings (9ft and over), the higher your cabinets are- which brings the cost up. Larger islands and requests of full stone backsplashes and island countertop build up will also bring your price up. The bigger your kitchen, more cabinets = more cost. Other factors that you have to include are: the cost of appliances, fixtures such as lighting, hardware, faucets, and sinks, flooring, and labor which includes electrical, plumbing, sheet rocking, tiling, and installation. It’s important to be upfront in regards to your spending wishes in terms of countertops and cabinetry after speaking with a designer and sharing photos of your current space. A great tool to help you determine a healthy full renovation budget is:

  • Yes: however, the average cost of a 60” custom vanity with top and 2 sinks is around $5k. Therefore, we take vanity requests via phone and email where we send you an initial design with pricing, before a showroom appointment. Therefore, you can then decide if it’s the right fit for your project prior to making a showroom appointment.
